(6)(5)−(3)(−1)

= 33

You replace the x in 6x with (5) and then replace the y in 3y with (-1) which gives you (6)(5)−(3)(−1)

Then you do 6*5 which is 30, then do 3*-1 which is -3 which gives you 30 - -3

Since it's 30 - -3, you change the - symbol to a + symbol, and remove the negative from the three, which gives you 30 + 3

30 + 3 = 33
