Any ideas on how to memorize tempo markings? for example, I need to know the meaning of these for the test tomorrow

Grave
Adiago
Andante
Moderato
Allegro

LARgo (slow)-you move slowly like walking through LARd

grave (sad+slow)-grave literally means sad

MODERATo (medium speed)- sounds like MODERATe

alLEGro (quick)-you move your LEGs quickly when you run
