How were Catherine, Mary, and Dorothy and the other women workers challenged by discrimination?

The women were challenged by segregated facilities. They had to struggle through segregated bathrooms in different buildings and issues with the general distrust of their ability. Many whites believed that blacks carried diseases and you could not touch anything they touched. This is why there were separate bathrooms, coffee, supplies, and work spaces.

Katherine, Mary, Dorthy and their coworkers were challenged by having to use separate bathrooms and appliances and the distrust of their ability. In the movie Katherine is seen running to the colored building to just to use the bathroom because she is not allowed in the regular bathroom where she computes. Katherine also has to use a separate coffee mug because many whites believed that blacks carried diseases and that you couldn’t touch anything they touched. In the movie people also distrust the three lady’s ability in engineering and math.
