explain the term minorities ? why do they lag behind the majority community both educationally and economically ? how can they get their rightful place in society

Basically minorities are used for the social group that is less in number . They are legged behind because sometimes the majority community don't give importance to the interest of the minorities and as minorities are less in number , they are not able to do several things alone.
