New Journalism refers to the combination of journalism with a more participatory and literary style that was unheard of in traditional journalism.
It was originated by the author Tom Wolfe. Wolfe was later joined by authors such as Gay Talese, Joan Didion, Truman Capote, and Hunter Thompson.
