The relation R is x = y/2 and values of x and y must be in the set A. That is they must be 1 , 2 or 4 and satisfy the relation x = y/2.

So the ordered pairs in this relation are (1, 2) and (2, 4) . Note that 4 cannot be x as that would make y = 8 which is not a member of Set A.
