Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it must be added that a criticism or a review of a literary work written by you is a secondary source, since you are interpreting and analysing that work. It is important to note, however, that, depending upon the research topic, secondary sources can also be primary sources. If you were using a critique from the 19th century, and your research topic was on literary criticism in the 19th century, then your source would be considered primary (even though at that time it was a secondary source), since it dates back to the period that you are analysing.
