The availability of metal deposits and the growth affect the development of the civilizations in the following ways:

  • metal workers made tools and weapons from copper and later on from bronze ( bronze is made from a mixture of metals copper, tin and zinc )
  • bronze tools and weapons were stronger than copper ones
  • workers sold bronze tools which helped other groups win battles.
