Through imperialism, the poorest countries were able to advance in their economy. A large economic system was developed, in which private and business companies exchanged goods and services through transactions. Some countries benefited and modernized with raw materials and other resources. Medicine and technology were introduced. Credits were granted to indigenous minorities. Infrastructure was financed for railways, ports and for major works.
