Adrianne is planning to bake some chocolate, strawberry, and raisin muffins for a party. She was asked to bake half as many chocolate muffins as raisin muffins and three times as many strawberry muffins as chocolate muffins. If she only had enough ingredients to bake 480 muffins, how many raisin muffins did she bake.

Answer: She can bake 160 raisin muffins.

Explanation:

Let the number of raisin muffins be 'x', then

The number of chocolate muffins =
(1)/(2)x

The number of strawberry muffins=
3*((x)/(2))=(3x)/(2)

Since, the total muffins she can bake 480.

Therefore,

x+(x)/(2)+(3x)/(2)=480\\\Rightarrow(2x+x+3x)/(2)=480\\\Rightarrow(6x)/(2)=480\\\Rightarrow\ x=(480*2)/(6)\\\Rightarrow\ x=160

Hence, she can bake 160 raisin muffins.
