Explanation:

The median is the middle data in a set. To find the median first order the set for least to greatest. In this case, 4,5,6,7,8,10,11,12. Then find the number in the middle, however, because there is an odd number of data you must take the mean of the two middle numbers. The two numbers in the middle are 7 and 8, so to find the mean of these numbers add them then divide by the number of terms, aka 2. (7+8)/2=7.5, therefore the median must be 7.5.
