Answer: (5, 2)
System of equations:
2x - y = 8
3x + y = 17
Solve for x:
2x - y = 8
3x + y = 17
________ +
5x = 25
x = 5
Plug in x to one of the equations to solve for Y
2(5) - y = 8
10 - y = 8
-y = -2
y = 2
