Can m ( in a y=mx+b equasion) be a fraction

i got 1 1/4 and.....yeah im confused

Yes, m can be a fraction.

Explanation:

m in y=mx+b stands for slope, and slope is rise/run, so it most definitely can be a fraction. BUT, keep it as 5/4 or 1.25 when writing it so you don't confuse yourself next time ;)
