The risks include a multitude of factors. They could be allergic to the drug, overdose, possibly even die, get addicted to the unknown drug, and more. It could lead to the use of other drugs to get more of a “high”.

Pat and Taylor should use the “parent excuse”. Even if they get called rude names like lame for not doing the unknown drug, they could say “Oh I’m sorry, my mom/dad/guardian would not appreciate if I did that and I need to get home sober.” After that, they should report the drug offer to the proper authorities.

Answer:

The risks are they could be injecting themselves with something their allergic to, they should either walk away from the situation and say no and if that's not an option make up an excuse.
