Why do you think it was so important for artists to create such realistic interpretations? How do you think the role of the artist has changed if any?

If it is realistic it feels more like something you can relate to. I think it makes you have a deeper connection, because you feel like that is somewhere people have been and experienced things. The role of the artist probably does change because they have to pay more attention to the detail to make it look realistic.
