Explanation:

y = mx + b

Whatever you do to one side, do the other to the other side, if there is multiplication, the opposite of that is division, if there is addition, the opposite of that is subtraction.

m and x are multiplication do you divide y/x in the left side of the equal sign.

there is plus b on the right side of the equation so you subtract y - b on the left side of the equation.

So the whole equation is y-b/x = m
