Explain the origins of the mesoamerican civilization known as the Aztecs and include how their civilization functioned

Can someone give me a brief sentence explaining the orgin.

First there were the mayans which lived along with, the olmecs who were 2nd and 3rd the Aztecs, and finally the Inca. Their names changed as they inhabited different parts of the continent, but when you look closely all of them have similar traditions and might even share a god which is called differently according to their translation. They functioned in hierarchy.
