Is a ( ' ) mark allowed right beside quotation marks ( " ) when quoting text?

like when you are quoting something with dialogue at the beginning or end of the quote

would it be like " Bob mumbled 'Im sorry'"

Answer:

Yes!

Step-by-step explanation:

It may look weird but if you're quoting someone who also happens to be saying something else that you have to quote, you will have to do it just like you wrote above:)

I used to be so skeptical of it lol
