Jake and Finn both worked hard over the summer. Together they earned a total of $400. Finn earned $25 more than Jake.

(a) Write a system of equations for the situation. Use J for the amount Jake earned and F for the amount Finn earned.
(b) Graph the equations in the system.
(c) Use your graph to estimate how much each person earned. How much did each person earn? Complete Sentences.

J+F=400

400/2=200

200-25=175

J=175

F=225

Explanation:

400 divided by 2= 200

200-25=175 which would be what jake earned.

200+25=125.
