Answer: When Keesh was a kid, his father sacrificed himself to save people in a hunt; Therefore, he and his mother were left alone. They were treated like slaves for a long time. However, as the story goes, he gets more and more acceptance by the people since he became not only a hunter but the best hunter in town. He made sure the people always had something to eat.

Explanation: In the story of Keesh, the main character has a personality growth throughout the story. The author implies at the beginning that he was a weak character, mistreated by the people, and suffered along with his mother. However, as years pass by, he became the headman of his village and gave a better life to his mother as well.
