Which systems have infinite solutions? Check all that apply. y = 0.5x + 2.75 and 2y = x + 2.75 y = 0.5x + 2.75 and y – 0.5x = 2.75 y = 0.5x + 2.75 and 0.5x + y = 2.75 y = 0.5x + 2.75 and y = 0.5(x + 5.5) y = 0.5x + 2.75 and y = –2(–0.25x )+ 2.75

Answer:

Three solutions

Explanation:

Infinite solutions means each and every point satisfies both the equations which means there would be a graph that overlaps the original graph.

So compare the equations with the equation

y = 0.5x + 2.75

each and every equation in this form has infinitely many solutions like

y = 0.5x + 2.75 and y - 0.5x = 2.75 these both equations are same. So they have infinitely many solutions as they overlap each other. Furthermore

y = 0.5x + 2.75 and y = 0.5(x + 5.5)

y = 0.5x + 2.75 and y = –2(–0.25x )+ 2.75

all these 4 equations are the same which is y = 0.5x + 2.75 so three systems have infinite solutions we can confirm this by using the desmos online graphing calculator just insert these equations into it and you will see all these equations are the same just like for example

y = 2x and 2y = 4x
