X=4 this is because 4 times (x+1)-5=11 the 1x then just turns to x because you can’t have a 1 next to x when it’s just one x.
4*(x+1)-5=11
4(x)-5=11
4x-5=11
+5=11

4x=16
4. 4

X=4
