Graphs are usually used to show certain amounts of recorded data. While maps are used to show layouts of a certain location in hopes to give directions, could be anything from a country to a house.

They're many different types of graphs, but they are useful because they show data. For example, a bar graph is a graph that consists of two or more bars show how much of something to the viewer, mainly used to show outcomes of two or more options. A map usually consists of a compass, and a tool bar which shows what certain objects on the map are so the viewer doesn't get confused.
