Why are all molecules not compounds?

Molecules have two or more joined atoms, and compounds have two or more joined or
loose atoms.
Compounds are a combination of elements and atoms, but molecules are only made of
atoms.
Compounds and molecules are both made up of two or more atoms, but a compound is
made up of at least two different kinds of atoms.
Molecules are the subunits that make up compounds, so they cannot be a compound
themselves
