First we must find the slope. The formula for slope is (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

Which means we take the (y) of the second given point and subtract the (y) if the first given point, then divide that by the (x) of the second given point minus the (x) of the first given point.

(10-(-8)/3-(-3)

18/6

Simplify

3/1

3, our slope is 3.

Now we can put this into our formula

y=3x+b

To find the y intercept we just apply one of the given points. (I'll use (3, 10) but either of them would work.

10=3(3)+b

Now solve

10=9+b

Subtract 9 from each side
