The logo at the center of a basketball court has a circumference of 25.12 feet. What is the area? Use 3.14 for π.

let radius of the basketball court be r feet.

circumference = 2 x 3.14 x r

25.12 = 6.28r

r = 4

therefore, area = 3.14 x 4^2 = 50.24feet^2

2πr=25.12

r=25.12/(2×3.14)

r=25.12/6.28

r=4feet

So area of logo=πr^2

=3.14×4×4

=3.14×16

=50.24feet^2
