2 / 3 x 1 = 2 /3

because you do 1x3 which gets you the bottom half then you do 2 x 1 which gets you 2 which equals 2/3

3 equivalent fractions for 2/3 are:

•4/6 (multiply the numerator and denominator by 2)
•6/9 (multiply the numerator and denominator by 3)
•8/12 (multiply the numerator and denominator by 4)

Basically all you have to do is multiply the numerator and denominator by any number as long as you keep it the same.
