1. The Coalition for a Peaceful World planned a rally in front of the U.S. Capitol
Building to protest the new budget prepared by the President and Congress.
Their main concern was a large increase in defense spending to build a new
missile defense system. The CPW has a reputation for being somewhat radical,
and trouble sometimes follows. The group has registered properly with the
authorities; however, armed police will still be present.
