The Earth spins are on its axis slowly as it orbits around the sun. The tilt of the axis is what gives the Earth its seasons as it moves around the sun. Farther away from the sun we experience winter or colder weather in a region on the Earth is far form the sun. Closer to the sun and we experience hot temperatures like spring and summer.
