PLEASE DON'T STEAL POINTS! the question gets marked as answered and ppl that actually can answer can't see it.

A mail man leaves home and rides his bike due east for two miles. He drops off a paper at a house. He then turns and travels for 1 mile on a street that is angled north from the first street by 35 degrees. He stops to rest. His pet bird escapes from home and flies directly to where he is resting. How far and in what direction does the bird fly?

Answer:

Explanation:

tan35 = x/2

tan35(2) = .9476 miles, due northeast.

you have two sides and a angle, i used tan to find the opposing side of the turn of the street, which was angled at 35 degrees.
