It is usually used to make people "follow their heart" when they're being indecisive by making them feel guilty for not being able to choose from any available options provided. I absolutely do not believe in that statement because...what the heck does "just be yourself" mean???.But It can be good when...for example, going for a job interview and can be used to mean "be confident" if the person usually radiates confidence.
