Therefore m<8 = m<5

<3 and <6 are congruent by the alternate interior angles theorem which states that interior angles that are opposite one another such as 6 and 3 are congruent.

<4 and <7 are supplementary since the <4 is equal to the <8 and the <8 is supplementary to 7.
