Code of Hammurabi is a set of rules created by King Hammurabi who ruled Babylon between 1792 to 1750 B.C. These codes consist of more than 200 written rules along with specific type of punishments which will be strictly enforced to the people who break the law.

Code Of Hammurabi brought order and discipline to the empire. It massively decrease the crime rates in the empire and allow the economy to flourish. The punishment for violations written in the code were extremely harsh (For example, if you're caught stealing, your hand will be chopped off). Because of this, most people who live there always tried to abide to it to the fullest extent.
