2. How does the use of simple animation tend to affect

the presentation of a story? For instance, Baksi first
presented an animated film version of The Lord of the
Rings in 1978. How did his use of animation affect the
story? What advantages can you think of for using
simple animation in filming some stories?

Answer: By animating The Lord of the Rings, Baksi made this wonderful story available for people of all ages. I can't imagine a 4-year-old reading the trilogy, but they might sit down to watch the animated version. One disadvantage of making a movie out of any book is that you lose different parts of the story. Advantages include: expanding your audience, bringing the story to light again, upping its popularity, and being able to bring the words on the page to life.
