If you lived 2,000 years ago, would you rather have owned a cow, a horse, or a dozen chickens? Why?

Answer:

Although having a dozen small animals would be a struggle, is would provide a significant food source in which I could survive off of. While a horse could be used to do labor, or to transport items, I would have no need as I would assume that I would be no stronger than I am now - possibly even weaker. Owning chickens would be the easiest. I would not have to hunt, I can eat older hens and their eggs, and - assuming I would be provided a rooster - I would gain a significant amount of chickens over a course of time.
