Lilah has gained a lot of weight recently, she works out and watches her food intake, but she is still gaining weight. When she visited the doctor, he told her she had a problem with one of her endocrine glands. Which gland would most likely have an issue with maintaining the breakdown of food?

The pancreatic exocrine gland, is not found directly in your brain or neck region where most body glands are, instead it’s found in your pancreas. Now pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, of Type 1-2 Diabetes can all be a cause of the decreased function of the pancreas, but I would suggest Lilah get checks by her Physicians and hopefully he can see exactly what is causing the problem, if it’s pancreatitis, the doctor can put her on pain medications and changed up her diet, or if it’s a severe case she might need surgery.
