Toward the end of her speech, Jesmyn Ward uses several metaphors ("the curvy inlet, the sandy beach.....calm waters...still shaky from the sea"). What are BOTH the connotative and denotative meanings of her words at this point in the speech?

Answer:

I can only answer part of it though... (VERY SORRY!)The connotative meanings of her words at that point in the speech are; very relaxing; as if she were trying to calm someone's mind; creating imagery that can only be described as flowing, and of a calming essence.
