Explanation:
Simplify both sides of equations
3(x)+7)(2)+8=440
6x+42+8=440 (Distribute)
(6x)+(42+8)=440
(Combine Like Terms)
Step 2: subtract 50 from each side
6x+50−50=440-50 6x=390
Step 3: Divide both sides by 6
6x/6 = 390/6
