What position might you have taken as a person living in the colonies in a pre-United States in 1775? Would you help fight a war for independence? On the other hand, would you have stayed loyal to Great Britain? Write a persuasive argument to encourage others to join your cause. Remember that you will need to address/attack an argument that could be made by the opposing position. You will need to include democratic/undemocratic vocabulary in your argument. Your paragraph should follow the format on the planning page.

I would fight In the war because Great Britain treated us unfairly and the gave us unfair taxes. So I would strongly support fighting in the war for independence rather than staying loyal.
