Un gas ideal ocupa un volumen de 4.00 m3 a una presión absoluta de 200 kPa. ¿Cuál será la nueva presión si el gas es comprimido lentamente hasta 2.00 m3 a temperatura constante?

P_i=200\ kPa.

Initial volume,
V_i= 4\ m^3.

Final volume,
V_f = 2 \ m^3.

To Find :

Final pressure,
P_f.

Solution :

We know, at constant temperature :


P_iV_i=P_fV_f\\\\P_f=(P_iV_i)/(V_f)\\\\P_f=(200* 4)/(2)\\\\P_f=400\ kPa

Therefore, new pressure is 400 kPa.

Hence, this is the required solution.
