Why was japan victorious in the Russo-Japanese war

Answer: Russia did not prepare their military, and Japan did. Also, at the time, Russia was experiencing a revolution, so they couldn't focus on the war. After Japan won the war, Russia prepared for future wars.

Japan was victorious in the Russo-Japanese war because:

  • it previously strengthened their military
  • Russia could not prepare because they were having a revolution at home
  • Russia was not aware that Japan would declare war

After Japan's victory, the whole team of allies were shocked and got ready to defeat Japan in World War 2.
