Why don't we all look the same if all humans have the same number of chromosomes

that contain the same genes?

Answer:

A small number of genes are slightly different in everyone which results in everyone looking different from one another. Each person has two copies of each gene, one from your mother and father which makes you look somewhat alike. Their are alleles that have small differences in them which are different from someone elses DNA bases which make you look different.
