Answer:Geography and climate were important factors in forming the Indus valley civilization. This civilization grew because it received heavy monsoon rains. It was also located on the fertile Indus-Ganges floodplain. This combination of climate and geography allowed the Harappans to grow a large number of crops. Because they had so much food, they could support large populations and sell extra food to neighboring civilizations. Over time, cities and trade grew and thrived.
