Harold and his friends want to play another game–pick up sticks. Harold is at the store with his father to buy red sticks and blue sticks. The store sells red sticks in packs of 8 and blue sticks in packs of 12. To play the game, Harold needs an equal number of red sticks and blue sticks. Harold wants to buy the minimum number of packs that will give him an equal number of red and blue sticks without any sticks of either color leftover. What is the LCM of 8 and 12?
