What was the king's reason for the Townshend act, and what would be your response to it

The British Empire imposed the Townshend acts as a way to confiscate and deliberately remove power from the colonists. My response would the same as the colonists, I would not be happy of these new acts and would rebel against them just like the majority of the colonists did.
