So Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen became the "first to successfully navigate" the Northwest Passage which is a sea route from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific ocean. BUT Ferdinand Magellan and some other dude is credited with discovering the strait that links the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. But that was in 1520. And Christopher Columbus and his voyage across the Atlantic Ocean was in 1492? So, I'm so sorry. I thought i knew the answer for sure for sure. Oh and Magellan is from Portugese but that's not even an option.
