Answer: Pearson correlation statistic

Explanation:

The Pearson Correlation statistic is used to measure linear association. It simply measures the statistical relationship that exists between two variables that are continuous. Information about both the magnitude and the direction are being provided by the Pearson Correlation statistic.

Since both the SAT scores and the high school GPA has to do with numbers, we are going to use Pearson correlation statistic. Spearman correlation are used for ranking.
