(7 - 3t) - 5(-1.6t + 5)

First, we need to distribute the right side to get rid of the parentheses.

-5 * -1.6t = 8t

-5 * 5 = -25

8t - 25

Now, we have

(7 - 3t) + 8t - 25

We no longer need the parentheses on the left side.

7 - 3t + 8t - 25

Combine like terms.

-3t and 8t are like terms.

-3t + 8t = 8t - 3t

8t - 3t = 5t

7 and -25 are like terms.

7 - 25 = -18

5t - 18
