What purpose do Annabeth and Grover serve in the novel? Would the plot still remain in tact with most of the hero's journey stages- if it were just Percy alone?

Answer: Annabeth and Grover serve as friends and they teach Percy about what life is like since the Gods actually exist. The plot would probablly not remain intact because Percy wouldn't have Annabeth's wisdom and would die when the Furies attack them
