Explain how you determine the sign of your answer when you raise a negative base to a power.

Answer:

If the power is even number sign will be positive.

If the power is odd number sign will be negative.

Example:

-2² = -2 * -2 = 4

-2³ = -2 * -2 * -2 = 4 * -2 = -8
